The 2021 Winnipeg MUNA will be held from April 29-30th. The Winnipeg Rotary MUNA organizing committee is committed to hosting a challenging and engaging Virtual Model United Nations Assembly for delegates. Registration cost is $25 per delegation (includes two students and one counselor).
Young delegates get a valuable opportunity to learn about the workings of the United Nations in a realistic simulation of its operation. Delegates research real UN resolutions, develop positions, create new resolutions, and work toward solving complex international conflicts by working toward consensus.
It is an opportunity for delegates to:
• learn about and debate current global issues,
• practice the concepts of respectful discourse and consensus building,
• challenge their public speaking skills and leadership skills, and
• develop friendships with students of diverse interests.

Event Logistics
Each year the Winnipeg Model United Nations Assembly convenes in April/May. Orientation and training seminars are held prior to the event using online training webinars for student teams and their school counsellors. The Winnipeg Rotary MUNA organizing committee is committed to hosting a challenging and engaging Model United Nations for delegates, all through virtual online interaction. Opening Ceremonies begin at 8:30am on Thursday, April 29th and are followed by General Assembly sessions and Committee meetings through to 4:00pm on Friday, April 30th.

This year the Winnipeg Rotary MUNA will be held virtually.
How
The 2021 virtual Winnipeg MUNA will be convened using the Microsoft Teams platform to provide integrated video conferencing, document co-editing, file storage and chat functionality. Stay tuned to this website for pre-MUNA training and preparation webinars in March/April 2021.
