In partnership with ComIT.org, the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is sharing information with Manitoba First Nations to inform potential First Nations applicants (on and off reserve) about this valuable learning opportunity.

Through funding made possible to the charitable organization ComIT, ComIT is able to provide online IT training to First Nations citizens in Manitoba. This training will provide students with an introduction to programming, information and technology (IT). Many First Nations are interested in IT and this training opportunity will see more First Nations people acquire the initial training to work in this field.

Applications are now being accepted from potential students who are committed to taking this Information Technology (IT) Training (at no cost to students). The estimated start date of initial courses for this training is June 7, though several courses will commence between June and July, and all learning will take place online. This is a part time training (9 evenings) and the length of the training is 1month.

Once registered, students will be contacted to finalize registration and prepare students for training.

Deadline to Apply: May 18, 2021
