REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CHIEF ELECTORAL OFFICER

The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs Secretariat Inc. (AMC) requires the appointment of a Chief Electoral Officer for the upcoming AMC Grand Chief Election and the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Regional Chief Election to be held at the 33rd Annual General Assembly (AGA) on July 13-15, 2021. The date for the election will be held on the second day of the Assembly, pursuant to Article 14.3 of the AMC Constitution.
Due to public health and safety concerns, the proposal will have to clearly outline how the Chief Electoral Officer will oversee an election which may have to consider two (2) different options:
a) Virtual Assembly with online voting for candidates;
b) An outdoor in person Assembly;
In addition, the proposal will have to clearly outline how the Chief Electoral Officer will oversee two (2) distinct electoral processes held during the same day.
