Treaty  1 Territory, Manitoba – Grand Chief Arlen Dumas and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC) congratulate the Bear Clan Patrol Inc. on today’s fundraiser launch for the Bear Clan Food Security program.

“Bear Clan continues to provide valuable services to our urban First Nations people in Winnipeg.  Not only do they work to keep our children and families safe, they have been tackling food security issues that low-income citizens face on a regular basis. AMC is proud to support this program by helping to secure resources and by advocating for ongoing and increased funding for the Bear Clan,” said Grand Chief Arlen Dumas. “The findings in the recent Bear Clan Food Security Evaluation Report shows the program’s invaluable contributions to the community. We hope other businesses, individuals and organizations will come on board to support this important work.”
