This assembly is an important opportunity for First Nations Leadership to come together and address long-term reform of Child and Family Services (CFS).
It is in preparation for the upcoming AFN Special Chiefs Assembly, where leaders will discuss and make critical decisions on the draft Final Settlement Agreement (FSA) concerning the future of the First Nations Child and Family Services (FNCFS) Program.
As First Nations, we hold a sacred responsibility to care for our little ones in the best way possible. Chiefs and Proxies will carry the significant responsibility of deliberating on and voting for the proposed reforms, decisions that will have a lasting impact on the well-being and protection of First Nations children and families.
