Treaty One Territory, MB. _ In response to the discovery of the bodies of the B.C. fugitives today, the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC) would like to thank the First Nation citizens of Manitoba for their invaluable contributions in bringing this search to an end.
The bodies of the two fugitives were discovered by RCMP members at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning along the Nelson River.
“We are incredibly thankful this search ended safely and our volunteers, the RCMP, and the northern community members are no longer at risk,” said Grand Chief Arlen Dumas.
